Hi, I am Sapana Ghimire, a PhD student in the Department of Plant Pathology. I completed a Master of Science in Agriculture (Major: Plant Breeding) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Currently, my research focuses on studying how different rice genotypes respond to both biotic (Burkholderia glumae, causing bacterial panicle blight in rice) and abiotic (high temperature) stress. I am interested in exploring host-pathogen interaction to utilize plant genetic resistance in breeding disease resistant varieties.
